Ruth Langsford may have announced her split from Eamonn Holmes over the weekend but it appears to be the only family ties she has cut.
Ruth, 64, who was married to Eamonn, also 64, for 14 years, remains close to her stepchildren despite the shock split and shows fans her positive relationship with them still exists as she continues to follow Eamonn's three children on Instagram.
Eamonn's three children from his previous marriage to Gabrielle Holmes - who Eamonn split with in 1996 - Declan, 35, Rebecca, 32 and Niall, 30, have endured a close relationship with Ruth, with the TV star regularly discussing her role as a stepparent and strong bond with the trio.
In an honest chat on Loose Women in 2021, she shared an insight into her life as a stepmum, and said: "I'm very lucky - I have a fantastic relationship with my stepchildren. "I always think a stepmother has to be very nurturing actually, y'know, it's a very difficult balance and a fine tight rope you're walking." The TV host - who has previously joked about signing celebratory cards over the years as their "wicked stepmother" also admitted in the past to being "very nervous" when she first met them.
