Russell Brand faces accusations of rape, sexual assault and emotional abuse from a string of women.The comedian released a video addressing the criminal allegations made against him by a newspaper and TV company.Taking to his YouTube channel and posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, the comedian stated that there are "serious allegations" being made about him which he "absolutely refutes".He told viewers that he has received letters from the mainstream media and television company which include a "litany of extremely egregious and aggressive attacks”.It's understood the allegations are set to surface against the Brand this weekend during an upcoming investigation by UK Channel 4's Dispatches show.Follow all the updates throughout the night on our live blog.Russell Brand's wife Laura has deleted her Instagram page amid serious allegations against her husband.Laura used social media account @thejoyjournal to share her work but last night, following the comedian making a lengthy statement on his YouTube channel to refute any allegations of wrongdoing, she has since closed it.Her account might be deactivated but her most recent posts are still available to search on Google and it shows Laura promoting her book, The Joy Journal.
