The comedian and actor has been married to Laura for six years, but they met long before they tied the knot and had various attempts at getting together before finally making it official.Their romance started in 2007, when Laura was 19 and an art student and Russell, then 30, was working for Radio 2.
It’s been widely reported the pair were introduced by Laura’s sister, TV presenter Kirsty Gallagher, but the pair split soon after, and Russell would then go on to star in a slew of Hollywood movies and marry Katy Perry.
Bur they’d meet again in a chance reunion by the side of a canal in London in 2015, when the former BBC and Channel 4 host had just split from his popstar wife, and Laura was nursing a broken heart, having also just come out of a relationship.
