‘Runaway’ Scots motor nabbed by eagle-eyed cops 200 miles away in Greater Manchester

Eagle-eyed cops have nicked four people wanted in connection with a high value theft in Edinburgh - more than 200 miles away.

The Audi A4 was initially chased by Police Scotland officers on Wednesday, March 9, before being lost from sight in Lanarkshire.

The silver vehicle was later spotted by road policing officers on the M61 and followed by a force helicopter to Salford in England.Greater Manchester Police confirmed they have detained all four occupants of the motor.

They added the driver has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop and having no licence.The force tweeted: “The Audi A4 was pursued in Scotland earlier today and lost in Lanarkshire.
