Ruben Amorim makes Manchester United transfer window promise

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has vowed the club will "try to do something" in the transfer window. United have no budget for the winter window and are dependent on selling or loaning players out to reinforce a squad that is languishing in 14th in the Premier League and seven points above the relegation zone.

Marcus Rashford has outlined his desire for a "new challenge" but the United forward has rejected three lucrative offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia and has no interest in moving to a Turkish side.

United have lost six of their last eight games and are winless in three in the league, having failed to score against Bournemouth, Wolves and Newcastle. "Of course, when the window is open we can try to do something and we will try to do something," Amorim assured, "but in the next weeks we are going to have more time to train and we have to improve.

That’s the only way because we had a lot of games without training. "Now we will have more space to grow. You can see the context is worse in the moment because we had a lot of losses, we have to manage everything.
