Royal family shares rare insight into Queen Consort Camilla's life as she embraces new role

The Royal family have given a rare insight into the life of Queen Consort Camilla as she takes on the responsibilities of her new role alongside her husband King Charles.

In a detailed and in-depth series of posts on Instagram, the Royal Family’s official account shared a series of photographs of Camilla highlighting her relationship with Charles and interests and causes she feels passionate about.

Compiled just one month after the Queen’s death and Charles’ accession to the throne, a slideshow of 17 images shared via Stories has offered an intimate and informative glimpse behind the curtain at the woman who now stands beside the reigning monarch.

Opening with a photo of the royal overlaid with the words “The Queen Consort”, a second slide follows immediately after featuring Camilla and Charles together alongside the words: “The Queen Consort supports her husband, the King, in carrying out his works and duties as Sovereign. “Her Majesty also undertakes public engagements on behalf of the charities that she supports.” Following this, the slideshow goes on to share a few biographical details about Camilla’s life, such as her birth in 1947 in London, her 2005 wedding to King Charles and the couple’s 15th wedding anniversary in 2020.The stories then progress to direct attention towards some of the many charities Camilla supports, as it reveals she is the patron of more than 100 different charities, including those that support animal welfare and survivors of domestic violence.
