On one of the hottest days of the year so far, Prince Charles was joined by Camilla as they took a trip to Cornwall where the weather was in the high 30s.

During the outing Camilla , 75, was spotted carrying a luxurious parasol while Prince Charles , 73, sported a grey suit, shirt and tie and later donned a pair of sunglasses as the heat was rising.

The tradition of royal men dressing in formal clothing while out on public visits was one that was observed by Prince George during the 2022 Wimbledon final– which left many royal fans wondering how the youngster coped in a suit in the heat.

Speaking to OK!, fashion experts revealed just why royal males have to be impeccably dressed even in hot weather, why they dress in certain colours, and why they must wear vests in the summer.
