Roman Kemp is tipped to star on Strictly Come Dancing later this year, after quitting Capital Breakfast Radio, following ten years as its main host. The 31 year old left his role at Capital FM earlier this month, as he admitted that he 'needs time' for himself.

He shared that he was still struggling with the death of his friend Joe Lyons, who worked on the show as a producer, and the studio acted as a constant reminder.

Joe tragically took his own life in August 2020. It's not clear what move Roman, who hosted the Brit Awards earlier this year, is set to make in his career next, however, William Hill thinks he is set to star on Strictly. The bookmakers have given odds of 3/1 that he could sign up for this year's series. There are other rumours that he could be set to host Good Morning Britain, which airs every weekday on ITV.

Lee Phelps, a spokesman for William Hill, said: "Roman Kemp’s emotional farewell to Capital FM last month has left punters trying to identify his next career move, with an appearance on this year’s edition of Strictly Come Dancing a popular selection in the book. “Kemp has been given a good chance at 3/1 to appear in the ballroom later this year, while he is 6/1 to take his presenting skills to television and host Good Morning Britain." He added: “A period of radio silence however seems one of the likelier outcomes for Kemp in 2024, who is odds-on at 4/11 to not feature on radio again this year, but conversely is 2/1 to appear on a new radio station.” OK!
