Having been a part of the show since its debut in 2004, Brendan expressed his shock and disappointment, stating that he was not included in the future plans for the beloved BBC One program.
He said at the time: “It’s an editorial decision. I’ll never know the ins and outs. I’m a very strong character within the show.
I have my strong views. Some do [like it], some don’t.” His clashes with Strictly judges, particularly Shirley Ballas, were well-documented over the years.
