As the cheeky chappie who brightens up our mornings on Capital Breakfast, you would expect Roman Kemp to be brimming with confidence.

But when we chat after our exclusive photoshoot, he surprises us with a confession. “Any time I do a shoot, I have to make sure I don’t see one of the pictures.That’s the only diva side of me,” he says. “It’s just insecurity.

If I see a picture and I think, ‘I look terrible today,’ it can affect how I feel that day.” The 29-year-old, who is the son of Spandau Ballet bassist Martin and Pepsi & Shirlie singer Shirlie, found fame for himself when he joined Capital FM in 2014 to present its evening show.

Since then, his profile has rocketed. He landed the breakfast show three years later and went on to finish third on the 2019 series of I’m A Celebrity.
