Roman Kemp in tears over 'iconic' career news as he spills on Brits moment he's still apologising for

Roman Kemp opened up about the moment he found out he would be co-hosting the Brit Awards 2024 during an appearance on ITV's Lorraine on Friday.The radio presenter, 31, joined Louise Minchin who was hosting Friday's episode of the show ahead of co-presenting the famous awards show on Saturday 2 March.

Louise, 55, asked Roman about the moment he secured the job and he revealed which celebs he called when he found out the huge career news.

He then reminisced about the moment he agreed to get a tattoo from Ed Sheeran at an after party following the Brit Awards in 2017 - and how the popstar had to FaceTime his mum to make an apology.

Presenter Louise, who stepped in for Lorraine, asked Roman about how it felt to be hosting the iconic awards. He said: "This one is not lost on me at all, I know how much of a privilege this is to be able to say you're part of an alumni that has presented this in the past.This means as much to me as it does those core brits fans. "I grew up in a different type of household, my dad and mum have been part of Brit Awards in years that have gone by...this is iconic and I was in tears when I found out that I got it." He added: "It means a lot to me!" Roman added that he was "straightaway" on the phone to fellow presenter Jack Whitehall, who previously fronted the hosting duties for four years.
