Robyn Griggs, the actress best known for starring on soap operas including One Life To Live and Another World, has died at age 49.Grigg's father announced on her Facebook page late last week that she had entered hospice care, and the account revealed that she had died on Saturday, August 13.The actress had previously shared that she had been diagnosed with cervical cancer, and in July she revealed that four new tumors had been discovered, according to Deadline.

She had been battling cervical cancer; seen in 1993'With a heavy heart, I am saddened to announce Robyn’s passing,' began the Facebook post announcing her death. 'However, she is no longer suffering and would want us to remember that and the good memories.'The author, who wasn't named, added, 'She wanted to help people and spread the word of her story to do it.

I was honored to do so. RIP my friend, I love you and smile when I think of you.' Griggs began her career as a child actor, but her breakthrough came when she joined One Life To Live for a six-episode run that began in April of 1991.
