Robbie Williams has revealed that a summer romance he shared with Geri Halliwell was "magical" and much more than just a fling. The former Take That singer, 49, has spoken out about some of the key women in his life in a new Netflix documentary that delves into his rollercoaster career and the personal problems he faced.

The pair spent a long holiday together in the South of France back in 2000, with Robbie looking wistful as he cast his mind back to the "confusing" yet "magical" time.Robbie admits on camera it was the happiest he had been in a decade with only his paranoia stopping it from becoming more serious, the Mirror reports.Looking back on the situation, Robbie says: “It was a very confusing relationship, because she’s a girl and I’m a boy, we are very good friends trying to sort out the wreckage of the past.“Our relationship starts when I am in AA.

You are told not to get into a relationship in the first year and I get it, you can’t even look after a cactus, let alone somebody else.

I just found her company very very easy, there is a silliness. We really got on really well. It was fun. And we were just a little gang that were sharing a very magical moment, in a magical place.”Clips from the documentary show Robbie and Geri looking cosy together as they wrestle on grass and sing on a boat together.
