Christmas will be different to all the other years yet still I can’t wait. I’ll be on my own so I won’t need to stand on ceremony, as I sometimes do when I’m at someone else’s home.

I’ll put my feet up on the sofa, which I rarely do at someone else’s home. And I’ll take my bra off which I’d NEVER do at anyone else’s home.

My daughter-in-law Kim has kindly offered to plate me a Christmas dinner and deliver it to my door. I’m trying to pluck up the courage to ask for twice the amount of gravy.

Or maybe three times the amount. I love gravy so much that even if I was in Buckingham Palace I’d ask for more - and I’d drink it straight from the spout.
