It has been a terrible week for the Jambos having been knocked out of the Scottish Cup in humiliating fashion by Highland League minnows Brora Rangers and defeated at Tynecastle by Queen of the South.
It comes after supporters protested before kick-off against the Doonhamers, calling for boss Neilson and owner Ann Budge to walk away.
However, former Motherwell and Rangers boss McCall told BBC Sportsound that Neilson could still get the support on his side.
