Robbers stabbed a man in the arm for the keys to his van before crashing a getaway moped they were on into a wall, police have revealed.

The victim, who hasn't been named, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries thankfully said by police not to be life-threatening.

A 35-year-old man, who was treated at the scene by paramedics, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault. Greater Manchester Police said on Saturday he remained in police custody for questioning.
