GMP has issued an update after a police van was involved in a crash with a car near a pub in Oldham. On Thursday evening (May 23), eyewitnesses reported seeing the aftermath of the crash on the crossroads of Manchester Road and Well-I-Hole Road in Greenfield, Oldham with paramedics at the scene.
Pictures showed a police van smashed into a set of traffic lights and a severely damaged Volkswagen Golf. The front bumper of the Golf, particularly on the passenger side, also appeared smashed. A staff member at the Royal George pub on Manchester Road, who asked not to be named, told the M.E.N.
that he 'rushed out with the first aid kit' after the police van and car came together. However, those involved in the crash were 'just in shock' and there were no injuries needing treatment.
