A section of a road in Miles Platting has been cordoned off by emergency services after a 'police incident'. A cordon is currently in place on Oldham Road.
The road is closed in both directions between Collyhurst Street and Fir Street. In a statement, TfGM said: "Travel update: Road closures in place on Oldham Road A62 due to a police incident. "Oldham Road/Collyhurst Street Oldham Road/Livesey Street Oldham Road/Fir Street." Pictures from the scene show a cordon in place with police tape closing off the road.
There is believed to be a large police presence in the area. One eyewitness told the M.E.N: "Police have now put a tape across the road, the incident is taking place where the recycling place is and up by Varley Street. "At least 12
