Police have begun a second day of investigations on a busy road off the M6 following a horror crash. Emergency services descended on the A50 Cliff Lane, in Warrington, following a smash on Boxing Day morning (December 26).
A person was rescued from a car which had smashed into both a telegraph pole and a building off the road, which is close to junction 20 of the M6, near Lymm.
Cliff Lane remains closed in both directions close to the motorway, affecting traffic between the M6 and Warrington. Crash investigation work is ongoing, according to the Inrix traffic monitoring system.
Fire crews from Lymm and Warrington were sent out to the scene shortly after 7.55am on Boxing Day, Cheshire Live reports.
