A road in Denton was blocked by emergency services on Thursday afternoon (January 2) after an elderly woman was struck by a vehicle.
Police and paramedics flooded the area on Lancaster Road, near to the junction with Two Trees Lane after the pedestrian was struck at around 2.20pm.
Witnesses reported seeing paramedics treating the woman as she lay in the road covered in blankets. It is understood her injuries are not serious or life-threatening.
The road remained closed for a number of hours into the evening. It is understood no arrests have been made in connection with the collision, thought to have involved a van.
