EXCLUSIVE: Joe Carnahan, who is behind Netflix’s upcoming film RIP starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, is launching his own production company.
Carnahan has teamed with Chris Wagner, founder and CEO of White Label Productions, to launch Gang of Three. Based in LA, the business hopes to be a full film and television production company from concept to delivery.
There is also an undisclosed third partner. The company has a number of projects in the works including foodie-assassin thriller The Connoisseurs, murder-for-hire action flick Viv & Vic, haunted family horror film Felix, and a biopic based on the famous two-fight legacy between Joe Louis and his German nemesis, Max Schmeling.
Carnahan got his start with Sundance Festival film Blood, Guts, Bullets and Octane in 1997 before directing 2002’s Narc starring Ray Liotta and Jason Patric, 2006’s Smokin’ Aces, 2010’s The A-Team reboot, 2011’s The Grey starring Liam Neeson and upcoming Zachary Levi and Josh Duhamel film Not Without Hope.
