Ferdinand made the admission after watching Sancho net his second goal of the season in United's 1-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Thursday evening.
The England international latched onto Marcus Rashford's pass, rounded goalkeeper Danny Ward and rolled home his second goal in three matches after 23 minutes.
It was enough to seal a third successive win for United, lifting them up to fifth in the Premier League table ahead of Sunday's clash with current table-toppers Arsenal.
