Rio Da Yung OG has dropped his first new music since being released from prison this week. "Rio Free" arrives alongside a video showing the Flint, Michigan rapper enjoying his first day of freedom, jumping in a private jet and hanging out with his kids.
Scroll down to watch it now. According to Pitchfork, Rio will complete his sentence via “community confinement” after serving three years of a five-year sentence.
He began his prison sentence in 2021 after agreeing to plead guilty to possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.
His projected release date from custody is Saturday, July 12, 2025, to be followed by 18 months of supervised release.
