A serial domestic abuser who has clocked up 88 offences during a 16 year criminal career is to be allowed home for Christmas - after he insisted to a judge he was a 'changed man'.
Christopher Kirby's latest arrest came after he was accused of 'waterboarding' his terrified girlfriend under a running bath tap during a vicious beating at her home.
His victim was knocked unconscious and left at the foot of her stairs with a fractured left eye socket after she had earlier inadvertently locked Kirby out of her property following a night out.
Police who investigated the assault discovered former personal trainer Kirby, 32, had an extensive record of domestic violence against various women dating back to 2009.
