Recently Riley announced her daughter's name, Tupelo Storm Smith-Petersen, during an interview with Vanity Fair having concealed it from the public.The star, who was featured on the front cover of the US magazine, went on to explain the touching tribute it holds.
She noted that her daughter's first name Tupelo is a tribute to Elvis's birthplace in Mississippi and said she chose the name when it wasn't very "well known" or associated with her family - prior to the 2022 film Elvis being released.
Reflecting back on choosing the name she said: "It’s funny because we picked her name before the Elvis movie. "I was like, 'This is great because it’s not really a well-known word or name in relation to my family—it’s not like Memphis or something'. "Then when the Elvis movie came out, it was like, Tupelo this and Tupelo that.
