Manchester City youngster Rico Lewis explained that the Blues were left gutted after they conceded late on during their routine victory over AFC Bournemouth.

City were in front 15 minutes in as Julian Alvarez reacted first when Erling Haaland struck the crossbar from close range. The Norwegian doubled the Blues' lead less than quarter of an hour later as an Ilkay Gundogan cross looked to pick it out Phil Foden.

However, a deflection took it away from the Englishman and into the path of the striker, who fired home. The match was over as a contest on the stroke of halftime. City made it four just after the restart as Alvarez's strike was deflected in for a Chris Mepham own goal. With the match won, City took their foot off the gas and were punished in the 83rd minute as Jefferson Lerma powered a shot into the roof of the net.
