Bristol City defender George Tanner spent four years at Manchester United before leaving the youth system in 2020 for a move to Carlisle United.
After one year at the League Two club, Championship side Bristol City picked up Tanner and the 23-year-old has not looked back since.
Starting the campaign as a substitute, Tanner has worked hard to push himself up the pecking order at Ashton Gate. Under Nigel Pearson, the full-back has managed to become a regular for the Robins and is hopeful that the Championship side can pull off the upset of the round by knocking Manchester City out of the FA Cup.
Speaking to Bristol Live ahead of the game, Tanner reminisced about facing Phil Foden during his time in United's youth set-up. "I remember playing against Jadon Sancho, Phil Foden, Ibrahim Diaz, and a lot of top players who have gone on to do really well.
