Ricky Gervais
Ricky Dene Gervais (born 25 June 1961) is an English stand-up comedian, actor, writer, film producer, director and musician. He is perhaps best known for creating, writing and acting in the British television series The Office (2001–2003). He has won seven BAFTA Awards, five British Comedy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards and the Rose d'Or twice (2006 and 2019), as well as a Screen Actors Guild Award nomination. In 2007, he was placed at No. 11 on Channel 4's 100 Greatest Stand-Ups and at No. 3 on the updated 2010 list. In 2010, he was named on the Time 100 list of the world's most influential people.

Ricky Gervais is worried that he could end up wheel-chair bound for life. The comedian, 60, suffers from severe back pain and recently suffered a setback when tying his shoelace ahead of going for a run over the weekend.

As a result of the excruciating pain, his long-term partner Jane Fallon has to help him get dressed. After Life creator Ricky says he was in that much pain he wanted to scream "get me a f****** ambulance" after the shoelace incident, The Sun report.

He added: "This is why I know I’ll end up in a f****** bucket one day. I’ve got tennis tomorrow, that’s got to be cancelled.

Thank god I haven’t got a gig." The funnyman joked: "Next tour, after this one, I’m changing the genre. It’s not stand-up, it’s sit-down." He later
