The 64-year-old journalist and presenter has had a few stints on the ITV news programme since filling in for the show's then main presenter from 2017.
While Piers, who dramatically left his role on GMB last month after five years, hasn't yet been replaced on the show, many people have been put forward for the permanent fixture.
Now, Richard has put himself forward, telling Metro.co.uk : "If the phone went and they said, ‘would you come in and talk?’, of course I would talk to them.
