Richard Madeley gives update on ITV News host after 'medical emergency'
ok.co.ukGood Morning Britain host Richard Madeley took a moment to update viewers on ITV colleague Rageh Omaar after a 'medical emergency' left fans concerned during a news segment on Friday, 26 April.
The news anchor was taken ill during Friday evening’s News At Ten, when Rageh appeared to battle with his speech prompting widespread alarm from viewers at home.
ITV then confirmed that Rageh had indeed been very unwell.They said: "We appreciate viewers of last night’s News at Ten were concerned about Rageh Omaar’s wellbeing. "Following medical treatment at hospital, he is now recovering at home with his family.
We are wishing Rageh a speedy recovery and look forward to him being back on screen when he feels ready.” When ITV confirmed Rageh had been hospitalised, but was now recuperating at home, messages of support poured in.
