Richard Madeley has teased his future on Good Morning Britain after rumours he could replace Piers Morgan permanently.The TV host was grilled by Lorraine Kelly after becoming the latest star to fill in for Morgan, who walked off the show in March and never returned amid a row about Meghan Markle.

Since then, Madeley has become a firm favourite to take over the position permanently. When asked by Lorraine if he would take over, Madeley kept quiet on an official answer - but couldn’t resist a cheeky swipe at Morgan as he did so. "I used to sit in for Piers around about when I started around about in 2017, so about four years ago," he said, explaining he would fill in when Piers travelled to the States for work.
