Beatles' legend Sir Paul McCartney is the wealthiest British music star, with a fortune of £950million, placing him ahead of the King and many successful business tycoons. The 80-year-old, who is still raking in millions from his performances, and his wife Nancy Shevell, who is from a haulage dynasty, were amongst the richest people in the country. Sir Elton John, 76, who is set to play his final live performance next month at Glastonbury Festival, was also amongst the country's wealthiest with a estimated worth o £450 million. A number of younger British popstars, including the likes of Adele, Ed Sheeran and Harry Styles, are also raking in the big bucks, being placed on The Sunday Times Rich List as some of the wealthiest Britons under the age of 35. All the performers are self-made with the majority making their money from their music, sold-out world tours, and other business ventures, such as podcasts, documentaries and lucrative brand deals.
