Rhod Gilbert, 54, confirmed he was undergoing cancer treatment earlier this year. His wife, writer and actor Sian Harries, took to Twitter to explain how shockingly busy A&E had become when the pair went to the hospital yesterday.
Early yesterday morning, Sian tweeted: “A&E absolutely rammed with people with hacking coughs.“We were only ones there wearing masks.
I just don’t get it,” she added. (sic)Her tweet comes just weeks after Rhod provided an update on his health.The stand-up comedian explained recently how he discovered he had Stage 4 cancer.“I had a terribly sore throat, tightness through my neck,” he recalled. “I was having to cancel shows because I couldn't breathe.”“I was having all sorts of problems and we couldn't get to the bottom of it. “In May, I noticed lumps started popping up in places they shouldn’t be,” Rhod added.
