Revellers at M&D's theme park dig deep to help Lanarkshire foodbank

People across Lanarkshire have been digging deep to help out a local foodbank with lots of donations collected at M&D’s Scotland’s Theme Park.

Kind hearted staff, suppliers and visitors to M&D’s have rallied round to help non-profit organisation, The Wee Mobile Foodbank, which supports people across the region.Staff at the theme park organised a collection and in just the two weeks have raised £1100 and donated boxes of food items.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Matthew Taylor, from M&D’s, told Lanarkshire Live : “We’re all well aware of how challenging it is for people this winter and we were only to pleased to help. "The response from visitors to the Theme Park has been amazing and we are very grateful.”Collections at M&D's will continue until Christmas Eve with drop off donation stations located at various points.Colin added: “We’ve seen a decline in the donations we receive and, at the same time, a rise in people needing our help so we’re grateful to everyone who continues to support us."We decided not to run our Toy Appeal this year but concentrate on the
