Residents have been forced to evacuate a south Manchester home after a fire broke out. Fire crews descended on Heald Avenue, in Rusholme, this afternoon (August 24) to tackle the blaze.
Images from the scene show the fire had broken out from the first floor of the property. Firefighters were seen entering the property through the window of a front bedroom, with the window damaged following the fire.
Those inside managed to escape the house and all occupants were accounted for, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) says.
Crews arrived shortly before 5pm and remained at the scene until after 7pm. READ MORE: Thug left man critically hurt after stabbing him 14 times with ICE PICK in the street Part of Heald Avenue was taped off while firefighters extinguished the blaze.
