Rescue team stuck on Scots mountain overnight in bid to save walkers in horror conditions

The Glencoe Mountain Rescue Team were alerted after the duo became cragfast on Aonach Eagach earlier this week. The two adventurers had attempted to descend early from the route after they noticed it becoming dark.
Team members scrambled to their location, but they struggled to reach the casualties from below and eventually had to go all the way up onto a ridge to come back down to them.After assessing the casualties a helicopter was requested to get everyone safely off the hill.
However, the weather deteriorated - and despite an attempt from the crew on board, they were unable to lift the party. This resulted in a very long night for the group during the dramatic rescue as they walked out to the north before being picked up by a huge 6x6 off road truck.
