EXCLUSIVE: Never Mind, a new comedy special from renowned comedian, musician, author and actor Reggie Watts, has been set to premiere on the streaming platform Veeps at 5 p.m.
PT on Saturday, July 20. Dubbed a “temporal comedy special” by Watts, Never Mind will be free for Veeps All Access subscribers, but fans can also buy an individual show ticket at the link, with a seven-day rewatch period.
Kevin Garcia directed the new hour, which is described as a step back into a simpler time. Set in the mid-’90s, Watts covers what the future may hold — how instant delivery service is not far away, Y2K, the potential of the internet, The X-Files, Windows 98, and the new Beastie Boys album — all through his original, improvised, musical lens.
Watts, Kara Baker, Benji Madden, Joel Madden, Kyle Heller and Bart Coleman served as exec producers of the special. Check out a trailer above.
