From tomorrow until Tuesday, many parts of Scotland will be placed under an amber warning for extreme heat. Temperatures - according to Met Office forecasting - are expected to sit just shy of 30C in many parts of the country including the borders and Glasgow.

Scots are being asked to take precautions to keep cool and avoid situations that could increase their risk of conditions like heat exhaustion where possible.

The Government has also asked that people look out for family and friends who may be vulnerable during the excessive heat. Justice Secretary Keith Brown said: “I would also urge people to look out for vulnerable family, friends and neighbours, as older people, those with underlying conditions and those living alone may struggle to keep cool and hydrated." Another organisation has shown concern for a different vulnerable group, however, and they have stepped up to protect this group, reports Wales Online.

Across the UK redheads will receive free entry into Showcase Cinemas while the heat warnings are in place. Redheads can often be more vulnerable than most to the sun due to their fairer complexion, so the cinema has allowed them to cool off in their facilities while also catching a film.
