It’s been five years since Coleen Rooney shocked the showbiz world when she accused Rebekah Vardy of leaking stories about her to the press in a bombshell social media post.
It later led to their infamous Wagatha Christie trial in 2022, with Coleen coming out victorious after Rebekah lost her libel claim – but it appears the ordeal is far from over.
Last week, things took another turn as the WAGs headed back to court in a showdown over Coleen’s £1.8 million legal bill. Rebekah – who was ordered to pay 90% of Coleen’s costs – challenged the “sheer magnitude” of them, claiming that they included a substantial bill for one of her lawyers to stay at a five-star London hotel, as well as a food and mini-bar tab.
However, Coleen’s lawyer hit back, saying that claims about hotel costs were “factually incorrect”. He also argued that the costs could have been lower if Rebekah had “conducted this litigation appropriately”.
