A 'predator' former teacher sobbed as she was granted bail after being convicted of having sex with two pupils. Rebecca Joynes, 30, was convicted of engaging in sexual activity with the two boys, who she met while working at a Greater Manchester school.

Joynes groomed one boy with a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre before taking him back to her apartment and having sex with him when he was 15.

She then fell pregnant with another teenage pupil, who she also began a sexual relationship with when he was 15. Joynes closed her eyes and grimaced, before she began visibly shaking as she stood in the dock as the guilty verdicts were returned by the jury foreman following a two week trial at Manchester Crown Court.

She began crying as the judge said she would be granted bail ahead of her being sentenced in July. READ MORE: LIVE: Teacher Rebecca Joynes found guilty of having sex with two pupils Judge Kate Cornell ordered reports to be drawn up ahead of that date.
