Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been left off the guest list for this year's Trooping the Colour, marking the second year in a row that they won't be attending the annual event.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were regular attendees in 2018 and 2019, have found themselves excluded from several key royal events since they stepped down from the monarchy and moved to the United States.
The 2020 and 2021 Trooping the Colour ceremonies were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and took place in a slimmed down version in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle, but Meghan and Harry did make an appearance at the 2022 event, which was held in honour of the late Queen Elizabeth III.
However, they were noticeably separate from the rest of the Royal Family, with whom relations remain strained. People Magazine reported that the exclusion of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex from the guest list was "intentional" and that King Charles III opted against extending an invitation to his youngest son.
