Real Sociedad have 'ruled out' the prospect of signing Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek, according to reports in Spain.
The Spanish club have been locked in talks with United about the prospect of signing Van de Beek on a permanent basis. Erik ten Hag is actively looking to offload his compatriot as part of a larger clear out of fringe talent at the club.
The 26-year-old has consistently struggled for fitness in his three years in Manchester, failing to register more than 10 Premier League appearances in each of his last two seasons.
He has featured regularly in pre-season, however, and did enough to interest Sociedad. However, according to a report by Mundo Deportivo, they have now set their sights elsewhere and are focusing energy on signing Arsen Zakharyan from Dynamo Moscow.
