Emmerdale's Karen Blick, who plays Lydia Dingle, has been a staple on the ITV soap since her debut in 2016. Over the past nine years, Lydia has become a beloved character among fans, thanks to her marriage to Sam Dingle (James Hooton) and her central role in numerous dramatic storylines, including a recent harrowing rape incident.
Lydia's romantic history includes brief flings with Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) and Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel), before she found stability with Sam and became a cherished member of the Dingle family.
She also plays a devoted step-mum to Samson (Sam Hall), who is currently serving time in prison. Before landing the role of Lydia, Karen had roles in shows like No Angels and Nomads.
Interestingly, she made a one-off appearance in Emmerdale back in 2006, playing an unnamed nurse at an abortion clinic visited by Viv Hope (Deena Payne), according to the Mirror.
