Rapper Jeezy to Make Acting Debut in Drama ‘Trap City’ and Executive Produce Soundtrack (EXCLUSIVE)

variety.comSteven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer Jeezy is making his theatrical debut for his first leading role in the upcoming film “Trap City,” hitting theaters nationwide Dec.
13. Written, directed and produced by Tel K. Ganesan, “Trap City” stars Brandon T. Jackson as Deshawn, an aspiring musician who contends with the difficulties of the music industry while trying to escape a life of violence.
Jeezy plays the role of Reverend Lylee, and additional cast members include Clifton Powell, Erica Pinkett, Omar Gooding, Yogi Babu, GV Prakash Kumar, Nepoleon Duraisamy and Tarina Patel.
In addition to starring in the film, Jeezy will serve as executive producer on its original soundtrack, releasing on the same day as the movie.
