United signed the centre-back from Los Blancos on a four-year deal in August 2021, with Varane arriving for a fee of £34m, which could eventually rise to £42m with add-ons.

The 28-year-old — who won three La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies with Real during a 10-year stay — has made 35 appearances for United since signing for the club.
