Here are your Manchester United evening headlines on Friday, September 23. Manchester United defender Raphael Varane has admitted that he is 'happy' this season after enduring an 'irregular' campaign last term following his arrival from Real Madrid.
United signed the centre-back from Los Blancos on a four-year deal in August 2021, with Varane arriving for a fee of £34m, which could eventually rise to £42m with add-ons.
The 28-year-old — who won three La Liga titles and four Champions League trophies with Real during a 10-year stay — has made 35 appearances for United since signing for the club.
