The mother of Raoul Moat has disowned him – almost 10 years after he went on the run as Britain’s Most Wanted Man.Josephine Healey, 73, told the Mirror: “He is not my son.”And she added that the killer is causing her misery even after his death, as abusive messages are still posted through her door.“I don’t want to talk about it,” she said. “I’ve had a lot of letters and things through the door.
This has caused a lot of trouble for me.”Moat was at the centre of a huge manhunt in July 2010 after shooting and wounding his ex Sam Stobbart, then 22, and killing her lover Chris Brown, 29, in Birtley, Gateshead.The next day he shot PC David Rathband, 44, at point blank range as he sat in his patrol car in Newcastle, blinding him.
