Rangers urged to copy Chelsea transfer model and make 'big money' as Ibrox club 'set to consider' starlet offers

Rangers have been told to consider emulating Chelsea's youth pathway model after Coatbridge's Josh McPake latest loan spell away from Ibrox.The winger has spent this season in England's Football League with League One side Morecambe and League Two club Tranmere Rovers.He's netted once in that time and is currently on his fifth temporary stint following other stints at Dundee, Harrogate Town and Morton.

McPake has impressed in flashes but a Daily Record report has suggested that Rangers are 'set to consider' offers for him this summer.

It could see him leave permanently, or on another loan. The 20-year-old's deal expires in 2024.Former Light Blues boss Alex McLeish has watched Premier League giants Chelsea bring players through their academy and then sell for profit.He believes the Coatbridge ace could start something similar in Glasgow.
