That has left Rangers chiefs with a major headache for the start of the Scottish Premiership campaign - as well as the crucial Champions League qualifiers.
A potential £60million jackpot awaits Rangers if they make the group stage - but it would be a blow for the club to miss out on a packed Ibrox for the home leg.
An SFA spokesperson said soon after that they'd be willing to get around the table to the club solve the issue - with Hampden Park suggested by some as a potential temporary accommodation.
