Rangers hero Mark Hateley will be in town this weekend for a Legends match which Cambuslang Rangers hope will provide them with a pre-season cash boost.Camby suffered relegation from the West of Scotland First Division this season and have been hit hard financially. While Wee Gers gaffer Paul McColl has refuted claims the club are in financial turmoil, he does admit this weekend’s game to mark the club’s 125th anniversary will provide a welcome boost for club coffers as they prepare for life in the Second Division.Cambuslang will take on a Rangers Legends side, managed by Hateley, with another former Ibrox star, Colin Hendry, expected to feature for the visitors.McColl said: “This game will hopefully give us a couple of quid, it’s a wee day out and people can see some ex-Rangers players, which will be good.“Mark Hateley is managing their team and players like Colin Hendry are also involved.“It’s a fundraiser for the club, because when you stop from this period until the start of the season there’s no money, so you need a bit to get next season started.“Some clubs have maybe got a bit of money lying about from a good sponsor who has given them ‘x-amount’ and we’ve not.“We need to try and get money in because every week football is money – cutting the grass, buying water, paying for refs, so it’s constant money, so it would be great to get some in this weekend.“If we raise £2000 that will be brilliant, it will be a big help.”He added: “There’s a thing online about ‘Cambuslang Rangers’ future’ and it’s all made up.

It’s as if we’re going out of business – we’re better off than a lot of teams, some others don’t pay their players anything.“We’re fine, we’ll get by.
