Livingston should have been awarded a free-kick in the build-up to Abdallah Sima's opening goal in the Viaplay Cup semi-final, according to the pundits.
Sima opened the scoring with an inch-perfect finish as he curled the ball beyond Samuel George at Ibrox - but the forward appeared to shove Lions defender Jamie Brandon off the ball in the build-up to the strike.
While Brandon was in control of the ball and looked to shield it from the Rangers forward, the Livingston defender fell to the ground under pressure from Sima with referee Willie Collum allowing play to continue.
The Brighton loanee continued on his run and opened the scoring, and while Nick Walsh in the VAR room reviewed the goal he opted against sending the man in the middle to the monitor to review the incident leaving Michael Beale's men in the lead.
